Day 1. La Paz, Rurrenabaque

  • Transfer to the airport in La Paz.
  • You will fly to Rurrenabaque, crossing the Andes Mountain Range (1 hour).
  • Upon arrival, you will be welcomed, and this adventure will start!
  • Your journey will continue by boat through the Beni and Tuichi rivers (5 – 6 hours), and then you will walk through the humid tropical forest (30 minutes) before arriving to Chalalán Ecolodge.
  • In the afternoon, you will walk along a thematic path and return to the lodge by canoe.
  • In the evening, you will take a short walking tour to observe the wild nightlife, including: insects, spiders, amphibians, reptiles and night birds.
  • Overnight at Chalalán Ecolodge where dinner will be served.
  • Includes: lunch, dinner and lodging.


Day 2. Tapacaré Trail (or similar) and Mirador

  • Today you will be able to hike the Tapacare trail (3-4 hours) through the humid tropical forest while admiring the birds and mammals, which will appear on site.
  • Then, you will return to the lodge for lunch and for a short break.In the afternoon you will visit El Mirador, from here you can see the beautiful landscape of Laguna Chalalán and the Madidi National Park next to the huge rainforest.
  • At night, you will have a short walking tour to see the nocturnal wildlife.
  • Overnight at Chalalán Ecolodge where dinner will be served
  • Includes: Breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging. 


Day 3. Eslabón River (full day) and Traditional Night

  • Today you will walk along the Eslabón River (6 hours) in the deep areas of the Amazonian virgin forest with the opportunity to see animals such as: spider monkeys, wild pigs and various bird species.
  • Picnic lunch.
  • Upon arriving back at the lodge, you could have a dip in the lagoon before dinner is served.
  • In the evening, you will take a canoe ride. This is a special activity where you will see amphibians, night birds and alligators. Please note that sport fishing in the Eslabón River is optional.
  • Overnight at Chalalán Ecolodge where dinner will be served
  • Includes: Breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging


Day 4. Chalalán, Rurrenabaque, La Paz

  • After breakfast, you will enjoy one last exciting hike to the bank of the Tuichi River where you will take the boat back to Rurrenabaque (3-hour boat ride).
  • Do not forget to be alert during this trip as it is a great opportunity to see many more animals.
  • Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight back to La Paz.
  • Includes: Breakfast.
